Apogee Ensemble Firewire Audio Interface For Mac

After reading a lot of reviews and opinions about audio interfaces, I decided to get the Apogee One because it is affordable and compatible with Mac, extremely easy to use and very portable. I often travel and have to take my recording stuff with me. This interface has all the good features I need and a pristine sound! I could not be happier.
I'm enjoying Logic Pro 9 but after looking at all of the improvements to Logic Pro X, I'm anxious to get up to speed.
I like the look of the plug-in upgrades; the addition of Logic Remote (not available for LP9?); Drum Kit Designer, the Synth's, etc.
When it (LP10) was first announced there was a glaring limitation I had with my current set-up but I can't recall what the hiccup was.. perhaps there is none and I could be good-to-go. Can anyone confirm if and where I'm looking at compatibility issues?
System: Mac Pro Tower (Mid 2010) 2.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Xenon
OS: 10.10.5 (Yosemite)
Interface: Apogee Ensemble - Firewire
If I recall, the issue that I faced was first presented with the announcement of Logic Pro X was that it required El Capitan - which didn't offer 'Core Audio' divers / support, which means that the Apogee Ensemble (Firewire) would be iffy if not even work at all. Looking at the 'tech specs' on Logic Pro X, it supports OS X 10.10. That looks promising (if in fact the issue with El Capitan and lack of Core Audio driver support still exist).
Can I run Logic Pro X in Yosemite?
Can I run the Apogee Ensemble (FireWire) in El Capitan without issues pertaining to Core Audio Driver / Firewire?
Thanks in advance!
