Description The Kick Inside is the debut album by the British singer Kate Bush. It was released on 17 February 1978 and contains her UK number one hit, 'Wuthering Heights'. Biography
The famous British singer and songwriter Kate Bush was born in 1958 in Bexleyheath. She has been interested in music since her very childhood and spent several hours a day playing the piano. Pretty soon she achieved wonderful results, and when Bush was eleven years old, she composed her very first song. In 1972 the young singer recorded several demo-tapes at her house; however the record companies did not pay the attention to them because of the low quality of record. Later Kate met Pink Floyd’s guitarist David Gilmour and he offered her help. He was very interested in her music and suggested recording some songs. Thereby in 1975 Kate recorded The Man With The Child In His Eyes, The Saxophone Song and Maybe. This time her talent was noticed and the singer signed the contract with EMI.
Kate’s debut album The Kick Inside was released in 1978. The record turned out to be very strong and the composition Wuthering Heights became the real international hit in no time. The second studio work appeared in the same year: Lionheart (1978) was well received by the listeners and its quality was as good as the quality of The Kick Inside.
